Barbados Crop Over 2011 – “The Sweetest Summer Festival”
Crop over is by far my fav festival!! Maybe it’s because i’m half Bajan (Barbadian) and it’s a part of my culture and tradition or maybe because once you experience it your hooked!! Every first week of August you can bet I’m there drinking rum punch, visiting friends & fam, jumping up for Crop-Over & 4 Day Morning and enjoying the beautiful beaches the island has to offer!
For the past few years I’ve teamed up with The Barbados Tourism Board and Hosted winners from across Canada (via Facebook/Twitter/Radio) to my beautiful island!!
This year we stayed at the Southern Palms Hotel in St.Lawrence Gap which is right on the beach and a short walk to bars,clubs and resto’s! Too many to name!!
And as an added bonus (Thanks again to BTA) Rihanna headlined her 1st concert in her home island with J.Cole! The show was sold out after only 3 days on sale!! Fans from all over the Caribbean flew in to Barbados to see Rihanna take the stage! And she killed it!
The next day Trey Songz also flew in to shoot his vid on the beach with J.Cole! I stopped by but missed Rihanna make her cameo….
